So this project was based on one I saw on instructables.com that I thought I could improve upon. I got the laser diode from ebay by purchasing an xbox360 hd-dvd and then the phaser came from thinkgeek.com of course. It was simple enough to assemble but had some trouble making the battery fit and getting the laser to shoot straight which is why I had to cut some extra holes and add the clay. But end result is pretty cool and very distinct compared to my green and red pointers.
